A number of interesting posts and one recent e-mail have conspired to remind me that one of a leader's most important jobs is bringing focus to an organization. Here's a bit about each, and links to the full posts.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have written a couple of times about Servant-Leadership (23 August and 30 August). Gretchen Rubin writes a funny and thoughtful blog called The Happiness Project. A lawyer turned writer, Gretchen is spending this year exploring every bit of advice she can find about how to live life. She uses the blog to report on how well the ideas work out for her.
Last week Gretchen told the story of the Sassy Diaper Sacks. It was a great reminder of all the "Sassy Diaper Sacks" that businesses tend to accumulate.
