The world is moving too fast for perfect plans. Yes, you need to plan your project, proposal, business, meal - whatever - but at some point you need to execute the plan. You need to get out there and do something.
Seth Godin points out that the best time to start is now. (Check out his list of delay excuses that need to be banished from your lexicon.)
Chris adds that, since, "No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy," you may as well execute your imperfect plan now. It will take forever to perfect the plan, and you'll need to change it as soon as you engage the "enemy" anyway.
Lest you still feel the need to wait until all your ducks are in a row, Mike Sansone points out that, "The only sure-fire way to get your ducks aligned perfectly is to kill 'em - but then what do you have left? Dead Ducks. "
So, are you ready to execute? Then do something. Just do one thing - the first thing in your plan. Even if it's just making a call, or making a list of people to call, or researching something on the internet - just do it!
Now.
